If your STANDARD HORIZON radio fails for any reason, including water damage, during normal use in the first 3 years, STANDARD HORIZON will repair it without hassle or charge - period! If it fails thereafter in normal use for as long as you own it, our unique Lifetime Flat Rate Service Program will cover it. ENHANCED RAM+ CAPABLEThe QUEST+ has the capability of being connected to the Enhanced full-function Remote Access Microphone (RAM+ Mic). This advance remote operates as a full second station to the QUEST+ at the fly bridge, cockpit, tower or location of your choice. The submersible RAM+ has a huge channel display, speaker microphone that allows the user to remotely control all VHF radio functions, Digital Selective Calling functions and can show channel names and repeat GPS information.
FULL DIGITAL SELECTIVE CALLINGThe most important reason to have a VHF radio on board your vessel is safety. The QUEST+ meets the internationally recognized requirements for RTCM SC-101 Digital Selective Calling. In an emergency the QUEST+ is capable of transmitting and automated Digital MAYDAY transmission that includes GPS position and Date and time (when connected to GPS). The QUEST also can transmit and receive DSC Urgency, Safety, Group and Individual calls.
DSC POLLINGSTANDARD HORIZON has pioneered the capability to poll (request and send) the GPS location of another vessel and show the position of that vessel on the VHF's display. Standard Horizon has taken this feature one step further, if any Standard Horizon GPS is connected to the QUEST, the polled position of the vessel is shown on the display of the GPS chart plotter making it easy to navigate to the location of the polled vessel. This is a great feature for anyone wanting to know the position of anther vessel for example you buddy that is catching fish, or finding the location of a person you are cruising with.
NOAA WEATHER ALERT, PROGRAMMABLE SCANNING AND PRIORITY SCANQUEST+ highlights scanning of user selected channels or priority scanning of Channel 16. Additionally, QUEST+ features 10 NOAA weather channels including weather alert allowing QUEST+ to intercept frequency encoded Weather alerts. The LCD display provides visual indications for all scanning functions in a bold easy to understand flags.
